Lovely hotel in a perfect location on all the island, appreciated this place. The staff was fantastic, the room was spotlessly clean and cozy with a bathroom, everything was good. Location: the property was next to most interesting tourist points as well as a bus stop, a market and a hill with a church and a nice view.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. the staff at Pensao Fernandes were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. They recommended some amazing places to visit nearby that made my stay even more enjoyable. the beds were incredibly comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. the rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily, which was a nice touch. the breakfast provided was basic but good, and considering there weren't many guests at the time, I didn't expect much more. it was definitely worth the money I paid. Cons: Nothing not to like 👍.

The triple room at Pensao Fernandes was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely balcony to enjoy the view. The seating area inside was a great spot to relax after a long day of exploration.
The private bathroom being located outside the room was not my preference, but others might still find it convenient.

Heading downhill on the Levada hiking trails towards the sea was a thrilling experience for our family. The paths through Levada dos Lamaceiros and Vereda do Calhau were breathtaking and provided stunning views of the ocean. Our children were amazed by the lush greenery and the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs. We made unforgettable memories exploring these trails as a family and highly recommend them for a fun outdoor adventure.
My children wanted more child-friendly activities at the hotel.

The owners offered personalized meals and provided great coffee. They also offered not professional, but excellent tour/guide services. The room was clean and had access to a shared balcony with a nice view. The tenants were understanding and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, even taking me to beautiful places and providing food for free.
Not obvious to find.

We had such a wonderful stay at this family-run hotel in Madeira! The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations for excursions and tours around the island. Our room was clean, well-furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the warm welcome we received, including a delicious homemade meal upon our late arrival. The hotel also offers day tours to explore the best spots in the region. Highly recommend for a friendly and memorable experience in Madeira!
